As Tax Day approaches for those of us in the U.S., chances are we’re all feeling a little extra stress lately, am I right? Stressing out can manifest itself in a variety of ways from how we feel to how we look and let’s just say each outcome is not exactly desirable: headaches, anxious feelings, and even breakouts. Rest assured though, your fam at No, Thank You is here to help, so let’s take a look at a few of our favorite tips to keep you looking and feeling stress-free…. Or at least, help take some of the edge off.

3 Tips for when you’re feeling stressed out

(1) Spend a few minutes outside

Fresh air and a little exercise can do wonders! If you’re feeling stressed over work or anything that revolves around sitting at your desk, take a quick break and pop outside for a sec. When you breathe in fresh air, you’re helping raise oxygen levels in your brain. Why is this important? It helps increase serotonin (aka the feel-good chemical) levels to make you feel better in no time!

Need a full-spectrum CBD oil to take you through the day? Try our CBD Face Oil for a Day to keep your skin fresh and glowing.

(2) Meditate or listen to a guided meditation

Similar to our first tip, meditating helps you focus on your breathing which can increase those super-important serotonin levels to get you in a better mood. Outside of that, having a moment of stillness helps take your mind off the troubles for a little bit and lets the good thoughts come back to focus.

(3) Try some chamomile tea

It’s amazing what a little bit of tea can do for you! Chamomile has long been used as a remedy to help ease feelings of stress and even sleeping disorders due to its ultra-calming properties. Recent studies have even shown it to be effective for Generalized Anxiety Disorder and let’s be honest, stress can no doubt leave us feeling a little anxious.

3 Tips for dealing with stressed skin

(1) Incorporate full-spectrum CBD oil into your routine

You know what goes hand in hand with stressed skin? Inflammation. Adding CBD skin care products with CBDa benefits into your routine will help offset inflammatory issues like redness, sensitivity, and even blemishes to have you glowing through it all.

Bonus tip: that also includes internal inflammation like aches and pains and we know just the Relief Cream for that 😀

(2) Stay hydrated

It may sound simple but keeping up with your water intake during stressful times is super important. Stress can compromise your skin’s natural barrier and in turn can impact its ability to retain moisture. Lack of moisture can make you more susceptible to damage and give you the appearance of a dull, lackluster complexion including those dreaded dark circles. For those days where you need a little extra moisture, try our CBD hypoallergenic chapstick

(3) Let skin breathe

Ok, clearly breathing is a big focus for us when it comes to managing stress but the same goes for skin! While it may be tempting to load on the makeup or 1,000th mask to get you looking less stressed, it’s important to let skin breathe and naturally recover. Just like the feeling, stressed skin will pass. Rather than bombard it, give it the nourishment it needs to get back to its happy place. On those days your skin needs a break, use our nourishing CBD cleanser and relax.

Stress and stressed skin happens to the best of us and you know what the best advice we can give is? You’re not alone and it will be ok! It may seem overwhelming at times but incorporating little tricks here and there to help ease the frustrations gets easier and easier over time. So as you’re filing your taxes this year or just going about your everyday tasks, try one of these out and let us know what you think.
